After already having established its presence in the smartphone market, the time has come when Xiaomi is introducing smart home appliances in the country. Xiaomi is all set to launch its 2nd Air Purifier, the Xiaomi Mi 2 Air Purifier on the 21st of September. According to rumours, the company is going to launch another product, which is most likely going to be the Mi PowerBank along with the Purifier.
The Purifier’s dimensions are 520x240mm with the base the size of an A4 Paper and it is endowed with triple-filter protection which removes PM2.5 formaldehyde and other impurities from the air. The Purifier is expected to be lighter and more compact than its earlier version.
More powerful and with reduced noise, the device cleans air at 388 cubic meters/hour. It features a single motor and dual mixed booster fans. One of the most interesting features of the purifier is its app accessibility. The Mi home app can be used to control the Air Purifier. The App is intelligent enough to tell you about the air quality and when you need to turn on the Purifier.
Even though there has been no official announcement regarding the price, it is expected to be around Rs.7000 and would definitely emerge as a favorite among the budget-conscious Indian consumer.
With cities facing increasing pollution levels and the rising population in the country, this is a smart move by XIAOMI.
